Insight and Practice wellbeing

A Whole-Person Approach to Lasting Change
Helping adults and young people navigate anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, stress, difficult past experiences, and emotional challenges through compassionate, evidence-based therapy

The Meaning Behind Insight and Practice

Insight: Understanding yourself creates freedom.
Developing insight into your thoughts, emotions, patterns and experiences can help you understand what drives your actions and choices. I believe emotions carry important information, and insight helps us understand their message.
Practice: Change happens through action.
Lasting wellbeing is not achieved through understanding alone. It develops through small, consistent actions that align with what matters most to us. This practical element is inspired by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and my growing integration of yoga and mindfulness practices.

Following personal challenges with my own physical and emotional wellbeing, I became equally curious about understanding ourselves: what drives our thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and what helps us create lives that are meaningful, resilient and fulfilling. Today I combine PhD-level analytical thinking, professional counselling training, teaching experience & practical wellbeing approaches to help people build lives that feel meaningful, purposeful and authentic.Formal qualifications: PhD in Physics, Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Registered BACP Member), Mental Health First Aider, Trainee Yoga TeacherProfessional training: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Safeguarding, Trauma-Focused therapy, Creative Play therapy, group work

How I can Help

My approach combines compassion, curiosity and evidence-based practice. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), tailoring our work to your unique needs and goals.Together, we explore what matters most to you, build practical skills for managing life's challenges, and identify actions that move you towards the life you want to live.My aim is to provide a safe, supportive and collaborative environment where you can explore whatever is important to you at your own pace.
